Jimmy's Lost His Toilet Paper, another excellent quick little game from Petri Purho, is a puzzle platformer with a novel gameplay idea: the goal isn't so much traversing the level (or avoiding enemies) as rolling up your toilet paper. That is, you begin at left, the exit is at right somewhere, and between the two is draped a string of toilet paper. The puzzle solving is in figuring out how to get your toilet paper rolled up, untangling it as necessary, and looping up, over, and around obstacles as may be.

Left and right arrows move Jimmy, and up jumps him; down, however, "holds onto" your toilet paper. Quite often, you'll be using the up and down arrows simultaneously (which is a little awkward), because otherwise as you jump you leave a loop of paper behind. Similarly, you can sometimes drag toilet paper off a platform by rolling up as much as you can, then pulling while holding it. In other words, the toilet paper's behavior is governed by some simple physics (though it's vastly stronger than real toilet paper--you can pull crates with it, and it never snaps).

It's a relatively short game -- 19 levels -- but Petri has posed himself an insane game-a-month schedule. I note that the level data is in an XML format, though -- it might be nice if Petri explained the format a bit, as I could easily see fan-made expansions for the game.

One thing to note: if you stand on the edge of a platform with toilet paper hanging down, more and more will unfurl from your roll and fall down, unless you hold onto it. No great problem, you can roll it up later -- but some commenters on Petri's blog have reported a crash if they let it unfurl for too long.
